There is also a video version available for a small cost. Anyway for those who just care about TTOI bits they start at around the 1hr mark.
Sadly the remarks reported by smokeslashmirrors about Peter’s improvising skills didn’t make it into the podcast.
Well, we had a flat meeting about it. I’m absolutely certain that Stewart will have remembered that, absolutely certain, because he was so…oh god, it was horrific, just all of us sitting there. And I mean I was…we were all men in our thirties, having a fucking flat meeting over who’s decked in some shitty MFI cupboard. And what it came down to, Rich, was essentially a massive subtext between you and Stew. That’s essentially what it was. ‘You did it,’ ‘I didn’t do it,’ ‘Well you didn’t bring the props that time, seven years ago in the Oxford Revue, you bastard.’
It was the weirdest thing being in that flat meeting, though, because…it was one of the most awkward things I’ve ever been in. Because it would have been awkward if it had been a student house, it would have been an awkward meeting, watching two people have this massively subtextual conversation, but it was you two. And you know, I’m a comedy fanboy, so it was just - I was watching two of my favourite people having this weird fucking row and thinking, ‘It was only a few years ago I was watching these idiots on the telly thinking “Oh, I wish I could be them”, and now here they are going “It was you, it was you, you fucker”.’
Chris Addison solves the 2002 Edinburgh Cupboard-Smashing Incident, sort of. (via diddelysquat)
